Lions rescued from circus and flown to Africa to keep them ‘safe’ butchered in suspected witchcraft killing – Mirror Online

A pair of male lions rescued from the circus have been found killed and butchered in a suspected witchcraft-related attack which has been branded “evil”.

Jose and Liso were found with their heads severed and their paws hacked off in the Emoya Big Cat Sanctuary.

They were flown to the 5,000 hectare sanctuary in South Africa last year as part of a group of 33 lions rescued from performing in South America.
